Day 1: Addis Ababa - Lalibela | Visit Nakute Leab & Asheton Maryam
Early morning flight to Lalibela — one of Ethiopia’s holiest towns and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its remarkable monolithic rock-hewn churches.
On arrival, drive toward Lalibela town with a stop to visit Nakute Leab Monastery, known for its sacred treasures and refreshing holy spring.
After check-in and lunch, enjoy a scenic hike or optional mule ride to the Asheton Maryam Monastery (13th century), perched high on the mountain overlooking Lalibela. The monastery rewards you with spectacular views and ancient religious artifacts.
Return to town for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Lalibela | Full-Day Rock-Hewn Churches Tour
After breakfast, begin a guided exploration of Lalibela’s extraordinary rock-hewn churches — carved directly from the living rock and connected through tunnels and walkways.
